Sending An Owl « Thread Started on Aug 22, 2006, 3:14pm »
Ginny walked up the old creaky, spiral stairs to the Owlery. She sighed as she saw all the wonderful, beautiful owls, ones that she couldn't have. She wished she had enough money to afford one, but she didn't. Ginny was hoping, though, that maybe this offer to her brothers would help her. She sat down on a window ledge, pulled a spare piece of parchment and quill from her bag and wrote:
Dear Fred and George,
I hope business is doing well. Not much is going on over at Hogwarts. There have been some minor injuries to some of the students, but I don't think the Headmistress is that worried that Voldemort will come back to Hogwarts any time soon. I can't wait until Quidditch Season starts! Okay, I know by now I didn't waste parchment just to tell you guys how I'm doing. What I really want is a little job, you know, here at Hogwarts. Since students don't get to go many Hogsmeade trips, and I know Weasley Wizarding Wheezes won't get as many customers. What I'm asking is this: send me products that I will sell to students here at the school. It'll all be in secret of course. I'll make sure no one tells they're getting products from you guys, and I'll be careful to who I tell and sell them to. All I'm asking is that I get 25% of the profits made from what I sell. Please please please return this owl as soon as possible.
Ginny was just about to sign her name at the bottom when she heard someone coming up the stairs. She jumped when she heard running feet and spilled ink all over her letter. She held her breath, and hoped a student was coming up here.

"Oh, um, hi, er, Tanis," Ginny said, forcing a smile. "I'm just sending a letter to my family. Uh, you know, they want to just know how school is, you know." And she forced the parchment behind her back. "So, what're you up to?"

Tanis sensed that Ginny wasn't telling the entire truth but decided not to ask. "Nothing. I just have a letter to send to my aunt." Tanis said finding her owl.

"Oh cool," Ginny said, nodding her head. Pulling out her letter she quickly muttered a charm and the spilled ink disappeared. She quickly addressed it and attached it to one of the school owls and let it go. "So, um, where do you live?" Ginny asked, in despiration to figure out something to say.

"In the Burrow," Ginny answered. "Hey, I gotta go." And Ginny left the Owlery. When she came at the bottom of the spiral steps, she leaned against the wall, closed her eyes, and took a sigh of relief.
(OOC: I'm not sure if the Burrow is in England or not)
